Equanimity

How can I simply BE with whatever is happening? With restlessness, loneliness, pain, bliss...as if each one is a unique pattern of energy, vital, interesting, not good or bad.  Watch it, breathe, give it space, let it move on its own.

Shoobie In The Sunlight

Delighted me to watch Shoobie doing nothing...just sitting in the glorious sunlight.

Spinning My Wheel

Sometimes I notice patterns, sometimes space, sometimes color or texture or sound...magical to be able to change my focus, my attention...so arbitrary. And delightful.

Nothing Is Infinitely Possible

This weeks prompt 'delight'.  I delight in changing labels, definitions.  Finding new meaning for the same image.  I sometimes think some things in my life are meaningless, empty, they offer nothing(sometimes I feel I offer nothing and am worth nothing). Seeing what 'nothing' looks like, helps me to redefine what I THINK.  This drawing/animation shows me nothing has a lot of possibility...

Mind States

Another version of changing mind states.  If I hold onto love, all the others can come and go and I'll be fine, I think.

Love It All

I love these handwritten feelings.  Because of the graphic quality of the handwriting and because I care about each feeling.  I am trying to remember that they change, and that each one deserves my love and attention, equally.

Mind Scribbles

I've noticed in some of my drawings that I begin to disappear as the stuff on my mind grows.  Do I begin to reappear as the stuff subsides? Or the more I see myself, does the stuff subside? I like to think I have some control...the more I am aware of my breath, my feet, my energy, the more I appear real to myself and maybe thats how the stuff disappears.

The Search For A Resourceful State

I had 10 different drawings of the face/expressions. Putting them together as they were drawn(not 'fixed' in photoshop) makes the face feel so alive in its movement.  I tend to want all the faces and boxes they are in to line up and just the expression move, but this is funnier to me.

Singing Meditators

Lots of layers here.  The drawing of meditators,  photoshopping of meditators, the imovie figuring out, the garage band, the song, words to song, the translating to youtube, the trying to remember THE PASSWORD, the letting go  of getting any of it 'right'.  It was fun. I'm usually more 'congruent' in my art,  I like the words to match the movements, but that didnt so much happen in this one...

Moving My Mind

Thoughts seem to move around, fill my head, disappear, appear, go away completely...briefly. (this is a quicktime video, I didnt like how youtube translated it, so it might not be available on ipad)

Acceptance

This is one small piece from my 'mindfulness matters' series of text animations.  Covering up feelings with other feelings, or other words, is a kind of layering.

Multiple Insights

I did this in imovie a while ago, and forgot all about it.  It made me laugh so I'm posting it.  Also thrilled that I could export imovie with the sound!

Red Scribble

Hmmm....liking the scribble...no thinking, just flow, no big deal.  I like looking at it, feeling it.  Why is it line is so appealing to me, so comforting?

Scribbled Confusion

I went to the studio today, not at all in flow, and just gave myself 5 minutes to scribble with eyes closed.  When I opened my eyes  I started popping up confusion because it feels like it's all around me...a giant scribble maze inside my mind.

Sitting With Confusion

Thought I'd add this also, as each little part of the 'cake' cartoon wanted to move on its own...just going with the flow...

Sitting With Cake

The flow of mindfulness...

Walking Meditation

I kind of get into a flow during walking meditation...or at least my thoughts are flowing...

I watched a leaf blow on by...

Life changes moment to moment.  Can I go with the flow?  This is part of a larger piece I call "On My Way".  For now I'm just experimenting animating one little moment 'on my way'.

Once Upon A Time

I made this text animation in keynote several years ago.  I was just experimenting, and playing around with the text and slide transitions.  It was fun to do, I had no agenda, wasn't making anything.  I was just in flow.

Tangled Up In The Problem

Attached. Connected.  Tangled.  Restricted.  Can't quite get out of it.

Hiding The Problem

So many times I'd rather not deal with the problem...so I just pretend it's not there.  If I can't see it, it's probably not there...

Hating The Problem

Started today on 'obstacle' prompt.  I have a lot to say about obstacles.

A Happier Graveyard

Even though it's about death, I thought graveyards could use some lightness of being....or so I've been inspired. So lifelike! having the snow on the Deb headstones. Thank you photoshop.

Headstone For Andrea

Andrea sent me a eulogy she wrote and then I made parts of it into a headstone, because apparently I like making colorful headstones.  It will be nice to be remembered this way I think.  Here is a sketch.

She Took Her Thoughts With Her

The computer is working again.  I painted a new headstone today. This is the sketch.
